Life sometimes feels like the Big Dipper, full of ups and downs and a constant apprehension of what lies ahead. Sometimes it’s so easy to feel hurt because you’re going through a tough time in life and you think that the whole world is against you and nobody cares.
What we don’t realize is that we take life for granted. There are so many beautiful and motivational stories out there that will make us laugh, cry, smile and appreciate the simple things in life. And we are so lucky to live in such an amazing and wonderful world. This is a celebration of life and love for our children, grandchildren, family and friends.
WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?
And who is Ray you asked?
Well, let me just say that he is the most special person in my life. I am so in love with him I would like to shout it out to the whole world. Ray is a sweet, kindhearted, loving and adorable little boy who is also my grandson. Never a day goes by that my family and I are not reminded how lucky we are to have him in our lives. His big smile and a hug always melt our hearts with immense pleasure.
I grew up reading fables and fairy tales especially Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales and Stories. So, it is not a mystery how Ray was easily drawn into the world of Harry Potter, Superman, and many more. And now that he moved to San Diego with his parents, I don't know how many times I watched Harry Potter series, alone, reminiscing on the memories and the good times I had watching it with him.
With a shirt tied around his neck like a cape, I will never forget that day when he proudly said he was a boy super hero and he had magical powers. Seeing him with so much enthusiasm, I was inspired and explored this idea with him. Four years later, "A Boy Named Ray" is now a reality in this fantasy book.
Ray is now twelve years old and we never forget to thank the Lord for blessing our family with such an amazing grandson, with his signature bright smile that will surely melt anyone’s heart. He continues to make us proud with each passing day. This boy has so much love to give, he is perfect!
